Pruritus

Normally this is linked to other pathologies like haemorrhoids, fistulas or fissures. It is very uncomfortable as the word pruritus means itching, so it generates the need of scratching.

To treat anal pruritus we have to first discover what have has caused it. It is normally solved going to the origin of the problem. The most frequent origin is the haemorrhoids, but it could also be linked to fissures or fistulas.

Moreover, the irritation of the anus borders in people with very rough hair can be the cause of anal pruritus. In this case, the initial treatment should be the depilation of the hair in the area. And in some exaggerated cases, photo-epilation is advisable.
